budget finds: christian louboutin’s maggie 140

2010/05/05

I’m sure a lot of you have seen pictures of Victoria Beckham walking around in those cognac and black suede lattice detailed pumps. They are the much coveted (by me!) Christian Louboutin Maggie 140 pumps. It also comes in a beautiful shade of lilac and navy blue suede. I would pick the lilac over the cognac, they just scream femininity to me.

They’re from the Christian Louboutin for 3.1 Philip Lim A/W 09 collection. It measures in at 5.5 inches with a 1 inch concealed platform. The retail price of these are $930 USD and if you’d like to buy pair you can get it at Barneys.

Or like me, you don’t have $930 to spare on a pair of pumps, so I came across these for you budget conscious fashionistas. While they’re definitely not made of suede, they do semi-resemble the Maggie 140’s and at $22.90 USD. These will probably be a one-time deal. Meaning, after one night your feet will be killing and you’ll never want to wear them again. But in all honesty, I probably would just save to be the real thing instead. You can buy these here.

Reminds me of Halloween shoes. For $20 you get to look like a hooker and throw out the shoes when you’re done the night.

Even the kid beside her doesn’t like her shoes.

I’m sure her kids are hating on the basketball game that’s going on and not her shoes.

And they don’t look like Halloween shoes, maybe the budget version not the Loubs.
