Lucky Ones

Every now and then the stars align
Boy and girl meet by the great design
Could it be that you and me are the lucky ones
Everybody told me love was blind
Then I saw your face and you blew my mind
Finally you and me are the lucky ones, this time

Happy Valentines day

Riviera Maya, Mexico – pt 1

As per usual, just when life gets hectic I decide blogging will be the perfect distraction. Nothing all too exciting, here’s a few pictures (more to come!) from my vacation back in the beginning of September. My boyfriend and I took some time off from everyday life to go to the Riviera Maya. Hands down, this is probably one of the best vacations I’ve had in a very long time. Going to the states, and going to Asia just doesn’t compare to the beautiful beaches and the warm weather. When they say it’s five stars in Mexico, they really mean it. We stayed at the Grand Sunset Princess, and opted for a Platinum room. I felt like royalty for the entire week – we had butler service, private pools, gifts upon arrival and so much more; definitely worth the money to upgrade to a Platinum suite if you ask me.

Food obsession

(Steak and fish tacos from Moxie’s, homemade guacamole and blackened fish tacos, spicy chicken with cheese from Home of Hot Taste, oysters and calamari from Big Daddy’s Crab Shack)

In the midst of looking through and editing pictures from my vacation to Riviera Maya, Mexico – I came across a whole bunch of food pictures that have slowly accumulated on my desktop. I still have a lot more sitting around, perhaps I’ll turn this ‘Food obsession’ post into a series!?

I wouldn’t say that I’m a food connoisseur, but I am definitely a keen foodie. My boyfriend and I love to go out and try new places, but we do have our favourites that we go back ever so often. I especially love places that have good quality and large portions but it won’t cost you an arm and a leg. I’m always up for suggestions, so feel free to leave me a comment and hopefully I’ll get a chance to try it out!

moments: 12 stonegrill

(Bread Basket, P.E.I Mussels, Raw and Chilled Sea Scallop Ceviche, Surf and Turf, Sterling Silver Beef Striploin)

Back in May TeamBuy had a coupon deal for Stonegrill on Winchester, so my boyfriend and I decided it would be a good idea to give it a try. Our first experience there was pleasant, however, I wasn’t all too pleased with the service.

The concept of this restaurant is unique and it was fun for the first few minutes when your food arrives. But you quickly realize that if you don’t eat fast enough, your food will  over cook. But that could’ve just been my experience because after my meal I noticed other tables were given plates to put their food on. We were not given any; hence my mention of not being too pleased with the service.

We have one more ticket, so we’re probably going to go one more time. Hopefully the next time, we’ll have an even better experience.
Have you guys been? Did you have a good time?

THEYSKENS’ THEORY – ombré wedges

I saw these a while ago when I was on Net-A-Porter, and instantly fell in love. I love how the suede and patent-leather meet to make this really cool ombré effect, and the deep Merlot colour is really unique.
They retail for $465, and they’re selling out pretty quickly!

It reads:
“This Photograph is my proof. There was that afternoon, when things were still good between us, and she embraced me, and we were so happy. It did happen. She did love me. Look see for yourself!”
